Email safety & self-service help
How to recognize Genesis Local email
Unexpected links deserve skepticism. Genesis Local gives you a way to reach every important control by typing our address yourself.
What genuine email looks like
- It comes from
hello@genesislocal.orgwith the display name Genesis Local. - Buttons go directly to
https://genesislocal.org/…, never a shortened or unrelated domain. - The message explains why it was sent and what the secure control will do.
- Secure action messages may include a one-time code you can use without clicking the button.
Prefer not to click? Good instinct.
If your email includes a code
- Type genesislocal.org/access into your browser.
- Enter the eight-character one-time code from the message.
- Genesis Local opens only the exact page action or confirmation named in that email.
If you want to start from the public site
- Type genesislocal.org into your browser.
- Search for your farm, stand, market, bakery, studio, or business.
- Open Producer tools on the page.
- Choose Email me an edit link. The response is deliberately generic if the private email does not match.
What self-service can do
A valid link or code can open only its bound action. Depending on the message, that may confirm an email, edit a page, manage an image, remove a page, or reply to neighbor vouches.
The automated flow cannot bypass email verification, privately grant ownership, invent an approval queue, or make unrelated changes. Expired or used codes return the same generic result. Return to the original page or action that offered to send the code. For profile editing, open Producer tools on the public page and choose Email me an edit link.
If an email still looks wrong
Do not click it and do not enter its code anywhere. Navigate to Genesis Local yourself and inspect the public page. If the profile is inaccurate or inactive, use Report this profile on that page.
This help is self-service by design: routine access, corrections, image controls, removal, and reports stay inside the verified product flows rather than depending on an inbox or private override.
